QLD Fly and parasitoid necklace

This pendant was proudly handcrafted and designed by me in Australia. It has a real QLD Fruit Fly and the parasitoid Fopius arisanus embedded in a non-toxic resin and it GLOWS IN THE DARK!

QLD fruit fly is a major horticultural pest in Australia but also they are pretty flies. I am using and recycling flies that have died in a research mass-rearing facility in QLD.

This pendant is set on an waxed cotton cord with bronze tone findings. 

Materials: Q Fly, luminous non-toxic resin and stainless steel.
