Monteith's Leaf-insect brooch

This brooch represents the most common species of Australian Leaf Insect from the Wet Tropics of Queensland Phyllium monteithi, that was named after my friend Dr. Geoff Monteith, former curator of insects of QLD Museum.

This Monteith's Leaf Insect brooch was proudly handmade and designed in Australia by Mox & Co, exclusively for Bugs & Beads. It is made with acrylic and stainless steel findings.
