Christmas beetle studs

These earrings represent the Christmas beetles Anoplognathus spp., an emblematic group of beetles that are commonly found in Australia close to Christmas evening in both urban and rural areas and feed on eucalyptus leaves as adults and roots of native grasses when larvae.

These cute Christmas beetle studs earrings were proudly handmade and designed in Australia by Mox & Co, exclusively for Bugs & Beads. They are made with acrylic and stainless steel findings. The acrylic colours will vary from orange, yellow to green, depending of the reflection of the light. The ear studs are stainless steel, so they are great for people with nickel or other base metal allergies/sensitivities.
